Service Disclaimer

We would rather set honest expectations than win a case on a promise we can't keep. Please read this before engaging us.

No affiliation with platforms, search engines, or courts

Obscura is an independent content-removal firm. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any platform, search engine, publisher, or court. We pursue removals through the same lawful public and legal channels available to you and your lawyer.

Removal is not guaranteed

Whether content comes down depends on the facts, the host's policies, and, where relevant, the decision of a search engine or court. We cannot promise a specific outcome, and we will give you a candid assessment of the odds at the review stage rather than after you have paid.

We cannot remove truthful or public-interest content

Truthful reporting from legitimate publications, genuine public records, and protected opinion cannot be removed ethically or lawfully. Attempting to force their removal with fraudulent notices invites legal liability and a Streisand-effect spotlight. Where content is accurate but damaging, the honest option is lawful suppression — pushing it down — not deletion, and we will tell you which applies.

Not legal advice

Information on this website is general and does not constitute legal advice. Defamation, harassment, and privacy law vary by jurisdiction; for advice on your specific situation, consult a qualified lawyer. Where a legal route is appropriate, we coordinate with instructed counsel.

How to spot a takedown scam

Legitimate removal services will never (1) guarantee that a real news article can be taken down, (2) demand upfront crypto-only payment with no recourse, (3) ask for your account passwords, or (4) message you out of the blue claiming your content is about to spread. Obscura does none of these. If someone claiming to be us breaks one of those rules, it is not us — please disengage and contact us through the verified channels on this site.
