Removal cases are sensitive by nature, so we collect the minimum we need and handle it confidentially. This policy explains what we hold and why.
Who we are
Obscura Media Group Ltd.(“Obscura”) is the data controller for the information you share with us. You can reach us at [email protected] or at our registered address in London.
What we collect
To assess a removal case we collect the details you send us: the link(s) to the content, a description of the situation, and the contact details you use to reach us. We do not ask you to send us intimate or illegal material itself — for non-consensual-image cases we use hash-matching tools that are designed so the content never leaves your device.
How we use it
We use your information only to (1) assess whether and how a removal can be pursued, (2) prepare and file complaints, notices, or de-indexing requests on your behalf, (3) coordinate with legal counsel where a legal route is appropriate, and (4) communicate with you about your case. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Confidentiality & sharing
Case details are treated as confidential. Filing a removal necessarily discloses the minimum required information to the relevant platform, registrar, search engine, or court — and, with your authorisation, to instructed legal counsel. We share only what a specific action requires.
Retention
We keep case records for as long as needed to complete the work and to evidence what was filed, then we delete them. You can request deletion at any time, subject to any legal obligation to retain records.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise a right, email [email protected]. You also have the right to complain to your data-protection authority (in the UK, the ICO).
Cookies & analytics
Our public site uses minimal, privacy-respecting analytics for aggregate traffic only. We do not run cross-site advertising trackers. Outbound clicks to our messaging channels are counted as anonymous totals.
